CARE Initiative (Centre for Advocacy, Resilience and Empowerment) is a Nigerian non-governmental organization committed to saving lives, strengthening resilience, and empowering vulnerable communities through integrated humanitarian, recovery, and development programming. Established to provide sustainable solutions to conflict-affected, disaster-affected, and underserved populations, CARE Initiative works at the intersection of humanitarian response, resilience building, systems strengthening, and community development.

The organization delivers evidence-based interventions across Nutrition, Health, WASH, Protection, Food Security and Livelihoods, Social Cohesion, Community Resilience, and Institutional Capacity Strengthening. Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/8311194).

To promote advocacy, resilience, and empowerment by delivering integrated, inclusive, and sustainable humanitarian and development interventions that protect lives, strengthen community capacities, and advance social wellbeing.

Executive Summary

CARE Initiative adopts community-driven, rights-based approaches across Protection, EiE, WASH, Nutrition, Food Security, and Health. Aligned with humanitarian principles and global standards, we contribute to sustainable recovery and social cohesion in Northeast Nigeria.
